TWF is delighted to host STEM for Social Good - Let’s Support Our Community, a competition sponsored by Goldman Sachs to inspire female secondary school students. Participants will attend in person or virtual workshops with support from corporate volunteers to design and build an application or a product prototype for social good. Projects should help increase resilience and the positive mental and emotional wellbeing of the user to help support our community.

The rapid growth of AI technology is transforming the world we live in. It is increasingly used in many different industries, including finance, retail and healthcare, and changing the way that we work. AI technology is also widely used in our daily life.

Do you want to learn more about AI technology and complete different tasks with other participants simultaneously?

At this workshop, you’ll learn all about the latest AI trends and tools. You’ll get the chance to explore the range of AI programmes on Microsoft’s platform and also try out some tasks, competing with an AI programme, to see who can do better! Together, you’ll build an AI programme that can classify cat species, to help you understand more about this technology and how it works.

Learn to build your own virtual setting or choose your favourite character. You can be as creative as you want in this self-paced lesson, accessed via the free CoSpaces Edu online platform!

Join us for a trip to Ocean Park where you’ll get to learn about marine life and the conservation work that goes on there, plus find out how the park’s thrill rides work!

Co-organised by State Street, this visit includes Hong Kong’s first Marine Life Stranding and Education Centre, where you’ll learn how the Centre is helping sea creatures that get stranded on land and in shallow waters. You’ll see how advanced equipment like CT scanners and the histopathology lab contribute to research including autopsies on animals. At the workshop, you’ll learn how the park’s rides work and get to design a small ride. You’ll also visit the Grand Aquarium.
