Visit Tai Kwun X Meet with Arup's Female Engineers
2019年11月9日，15名GGT舊生參觀位於中環的古蹟及藝術館 — 大館。奧雅納首席工程師為她們講解大館的建築文物保育，女生們都樂在其中。她們探索創造力及工程創意如何融入設計當中。而多位女工程師分享在工程領域的職業生涯令女生們獲益良多。
On Nov 9 2019, 15 Girls Go Tech alumni visited Tai Kwun - Centre for Heritage and Arts in Central. The girls enjoyed a tour about architectural conservation guided by Arup's chief engineer. They explored the creativity and engineering ingenuity of the Centre’s heritage focused design. They were also inspired by the career journeys shared by Arup’s female engineers.
UX Design Workshop at SCMP
2019年9月21日，20名GGT舊生參加了南華早報的UX (用戶體驗) 設計工作坊。在設計時尚購物應用程式的練習中，女生們集思廣益，仔細思考用戶的需要及如何能吸引用戶使用，想出應用程式的概念，並按照程式版面排列。她們學習到如何設計和創建一個手機應用程式，完成後眾人更興奮地發佈自己寫的程式。
On Sep 21 2019, 20 GGT alumni enjoyed an UX Design Workshop held by SCMP. The girls enjoyed brainstorming and mapped out their ideas for developing an engaging user experience using sticky notes in a case study exercise. They learnt how to design and create a fashion shopping app and were excited to finish and publish the app online.
Breakfast Sharing Session with Facebook Head of Branding, Greater China
On Sep 7 2019, a group of GGT alumni enjoyed a sharing session over breakfast with Anita Lam, Head of Branding, Greater China, Facebook. They learnt about digital marketing and explored Facebook Hong Kong's Office. Anita shared the importance of acquiring certain soft skills, such as communications and listening skills to better equip themselves for their future careers.
Breakfast Sharing Session with Microsoft General Manager Hong Kong and Macau
On Aug 27 2019, our GGT alumni enjoyed an inspirational sharing session over breakfast with Cally Chan, General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau where she shared challenges and experiences as a female leader. The girls also explored Microsoft's Experience Centre to learn about their innovative technology.
The Peninsula Hong Kong Visit
On Jul 25 2019, a group of GGT alumni visited The Peninsula Hong Kong. They visited the hotel suites and saw how technology is used by the hotel to enhance guest experience. The girls got to try out some of the technology, for example by using the tablet to control room facilities. The engineers invited GGT girls to play a game with different tasks and helped them to understand how technology is applied in the service industry.
State Street 工作影子實習
Work Shadowing at State Street
2019年7月18日及19日，5名GGT舊生參加了State Street 一連兩天的工作影子實習了解工作實際情況。多名來自不同部門的高級行政人員分享她們於金融行業的日常工作及點滴。女生們亦參與跨地域的視像會議，以及親身感受金融機構如何與 STEM息息相關。
On Jul 18-19 2019, 5 GGT alumni got to see what working at State Street is like, with two days of work shadowing. Senior executives from different departments shared their career journeys and their experience of working in the finance industry. The girls joined a regional video conferencing call and learned how STEM is used every day in financial institutions.
Cathay City Visit
Rosa Chak 及兩位女機師Helen和Sammi展開一趟愉快的對話，了解到她們成為機師的心路歷程，及如何為達成飛行夢做好準備！
On Jul 17 2019, 13 Girls Go Tech alumni visited Cathay City. The girls had the opportunity to experience a flight simulator where they were flying high in blue skies. They were also lucky to meet with Hong Kong’s first female captain, Rosa Chak, and two female pilots who shared about their on-the-job experiences and some of the preparation work involved before a flight.
Tencent's new Headquarters Visit

The students explored the Exhibition Hall and experienced amazing AI innovations and high-end interactive devices. Tencent's female technologist's shared their inspiring professional development journeys in the fields of cybersecurity, technology development and game design.
Volunteer for “The Hour of Code HK” Mother’s Day Workshop
On May 26 2019, a group of our GGT alumni volunteered as teaching assistants for “The Hour of Code HK” Scratch Workshop coorganised with the Rotary Club of Smart Hong Kong and IEEE Women in Engineering. They helped over 50 parents and their Primary 1 to Primary 6 children learn to code via Scratch to create a Father’s day e-card.
GGT alumni Featured in Hong Kong Economic Journal
來自保祿六世書院的Akemi和Celine的GGT舊生登上《信報》，她們在訪問中表示渴望打破由男性主導的STEM領域的傳統，並會跟隨自己的意向投身STEM相關行業。她們還分享了我們的Girls Go Tech計劃是如何引發她們對STEM科目的興趣。
Our GGT alumni, Akemi and Celine, from Pope Paul VI College were featured in the Hong Kong Economic Journal, talking about how much they aspire to break into traditionally male-dominated STEM fields and follow their passion to pursue STEM related careers. The girls also shared how TWF's Girls Go Tech Programme sparked their interest in STEM subjects.
Gap Inc. Visit
On Apr 17 2019, 20 GGT alumni visited the global sourcing offices of Gap Inc. to gain an in-depth understanding of how technology is used in the fashion supply chain. Our GGT girls learnt about digital sampling and tried sanding the denim. The company visit finished with a tour of their flagship store to see the implementation of technology in retail store operation.

Python DIY x Bloomberg Company Visit
On Mar 22 2019, our GGT alumni participated in a workshop at Bloomberg’s studio. The girls were introduced to the basics of Python and learnt to create a video game. We were pleased to see they made good progress on programming.
香港科技園 - 科學探索行
HKSTP - Science Explorer
On Mar 16 2019, our GGT Alumni enjoyed an interactive workshop with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. In the workshop, the Alumni designed robots and experienced technological innovation through a life-sized board game. The workshop finished with a walking tour in the Park to discover how green technologies are being used in architectural design.
Girls Go Tech Technology Challenge Day 2016-17
About 160 GGT participants attended GGT Technology Challenge Day, during which they took turns participating in the activities and challenges offered by GGT’s Corporate Partners and Supporting Partners.
Girls Go Tech Closing Ceremony cum School Awards Presentation 2017-18
Attended by nearly 600 distinguished guests from over 50 Supporting Partners, including Government officials, civic leaders, industry leaders, academic leaders, school educators and students, the event was a testament to GGT participants’ effort and learning outcomes over the past year. Concurrently, GGT School Awards recognised 6 GGT participating schools for their success in promoting STEM education, particularly among girls at school.
