Career in STEM series (3): Machine Learning from Near to Far

Girls Go Tech has launched a ‘Career in STEM' series in which participants can learn about different STEM-related industries to inform their decisions around university subject choices and career planning.

The third session in the ‘Career in STEM’ series is titled “Machine Learning from near to far”. Technology translates data into knowledge and broadens our horizon. In this webinar, we have invited three guest speakers: Kitty Wu, a software engineer from investment bank Macquarie, will speak on algorithmic trading ; Kayi Chan, a Research Assistant at the University of Hong Kong, will discuss the utilisation of drones and machine learning to tackle plastic pollution in the marine environment; Yoyo Chu, a PhD student at the University of Hong Kong, will speak on studying STEM and share briefly about her work on Martian geomorphology.
